Initiative 1: Redesign the purchase path on Minecraft.net product pages, reducing friction for users looking to purchase Minecraft game titles and navigate the different versions, all while infusing the whimsy and fun of Minecraft into the experience.
Initiative 2: Reimagine and design the Minecraft marketplace to encourage in-game engagement and showcase content creators across the impressive global Minecraft community.
Finding the path to FUN!
Each user has different goals, needs or reasons for visiting a site. As a result, users land on Minecraft.net from different stages in the customer journey, including a range of experience and familiarity with the world of Minecraft. For this audit, we looked at the contextual relationship of existing Minecraft marketing page content with some of the audience segments we’ve started to identify. As we look ahead to IA and content strategy, customer journey mapping will be an integral exercise to formalize user goals with both intuitive usability and engaging narratives.
